Moonrise on Maroon 4 November 2017

Monday, March 27, 2017

Saturday 4th November 2017

The view from Mt Maroon summit on a clear full-moon night reveals expansive scenery bathed in silver light. See nearby Lake Maroon glinting, mountains glowing and the lights of Brisbane in the far distance.

Our "Moonrise on Mt Maroon" guided walk is even more special as there are very few full moons falling on Saturday or Sunday night, when we depart mid afternoon and return to the Lodge at 9pm or later.

Take advantage of the bright light of the full moon to explore the best moon view in SE Qld.
Mt Maroon is achievable by a fit and determined hiker and takes 5-7hrs return from Mt Barney Lodge.
This expedition may take a little longer as we slow down to negotiate the gully and summit areas in moon light.

Email or call us for more information or to request booking forms.

Places are strictly limited.

You can also contact us for future full moon dates.
