Based in our Queenslander Homesteads the experience is tempered by the comforts of home cooked meals, comfy beds and all the details taken care of. In fact, all you need to look after is your tired muscles and motivation to summit three magnificent peaks in 5 days.
Mt Gillies is our warm up and gives you the opportunity to brush up on your climbing skills as we stop off on the way home for a short rock climbing blast.
Mt Maroon summit is one of the most amazing views as you are gazing at the Mt Barney massif with circular views of the region we are exploring. The descent takes you into orchid gully and onto a divine slabby creek with crystal infinity pools and rare plants galore.
Mt Barney is the pinnacle and takes a full 10-12hrs. Be prepared and be ready for the experience of a lifetime. Rare plants, rarefied air and truly magnificent views make this a day to remember for a lifetime.
In between we will give you local food and wine, take you to the characters of the region and treat you to Pizza with Pietro… It rates as a top experience with everyone who goes.
You will be staying in a genuine Queenslander style homestead, with breathtaking mountain views, set in its own private gardens.
Home-cooked meals will be served either in the formal dining room or the classic country kitchen.
